  • What Is CCTR?
California’s General Child Care and Development (CCTR) program is a state-funded initiative that provides financial assistance to eligible low-income families to help cover the costs of Child Care. The program aims to support working parents and families who are pursuing education or training by offering affordable and quality Child Care services. CCTR provides families with access to licensed Child Care providers, including centers and family Child Care homes, to ensure that children receive safe and nurturing care while their parents work or attend school. The program is administered by the California Department of Education (CDE) and serves as a vital resource for thousands of families across the state.
  • Who is eligible for CCTR?
Eligibility for California’s General Child Care and Development (CCTR) program is based on several factors, including: Income: Families must meet specific income guidelines set by the California Department of Education (CDE). The income limits vary depending on the size of the family and the county in which they reside. Employment or Education: Parents or legal guardians must be working, seeking employment, or attending an eligible educational or training program. Residency: Families must be residents of California. Need for Child Care: Families must have a need for Child Care services due to their employment, education, or training requirements. Age of Child: Children must be under the age of 13 (or under the age of 21 if they have special needs) to be eligible for CCTR services.
  • May I pay for my child to attend if my family does not qualify based on the eligibility criteria?
Unfortunately, at this time, we do not offer a fee-based option for enrollment into our child development center. Only children whose family qualifies based on the state's CCTR eligibility criteria will be enrolled and permitted to attend.
